Case study: Home office air conditioning

Ander-Teknix Ltd was contacted by a customer in Redditch, who worked from home and had a very warm office all year round. The customer had called various companies for advice; but they were not interested as they only wanted much larger and expensive projects.

An Ander-Teknix sales engineer visited the customer’s home on a free survey and discussed the various options available. After a coffee and a chat, the customer asked for a cost to air condition the whole house, including all 5 bedrooms, as he was surprised at how little it would be for his office alone.

Our engineer carried the heat load calculations and was able to provide a firm price on the spot. This was agreed; our engineers completed the air conditioning installation and left a happy customer, who phoned the Ander-Teknix offices immediately to thank us for being neat, tidy and very polite.

Minimal running costs

A couple of months later, our customer called the Ander-Teknix office again, to thank us for doing a fantastic job and told us he had been monitoring the running costs throughout the summer months. He advised us that he had been sceptical of our claims that it would cost so little to run, but we were absolutely correct. Since then, he has been so happy that he’s shown the system to everyone he knows and we have had a great number of successful enquiries.
